Exports of goods in Minsk for the year of 2018 was 12.6 billion US dollars with a growth rate by 124.9% to 2017. According to the organizations of communal form of ownership and without departmental subordination, exports amounted to 2877.8 million USD with a growth rate of 124.0%.

The export commodity nomenclature had expanded by 21 commodity items compared with 2017 (from 987 commodity items to 1008) in accordance with the 4-digit TN codes FEA

Export growth was ensured for the following commodity items: paints and varnishes - by 3.4 times, by 77.4 million US dollars; anti-knockers - by 2.3 times, by 56.6 million US dollars; milk and cream – by 2.5 times, by 51.7 million US dollars; spare parts – by 1.1 times, by 8.0 million US dollars; cheese and cottage cheese – by 2.0 times, by 27.1 million US dollars; butter - by 1.8 times, by 23.1 million US dollars; ethylene polymers – by 1.0 times, by 1.2 million US dollars; tyres - by 2.3 times, by 27.3 million US dollars; cut flowers - by 4.0 times, by 35.4 million US dollars; ethyl alcohol – by 1.1 times, by 4.8 million US dollars; cosmetics - 1.2 times, by 7.4 million US dollars.

In 2018, organizations of communal and without departmental subordination of the city carried out foreign trade in goods with 185 countries of the world, export deliveries to 133 countries.

The main sales market for the organizations of Minsk remains the Russian Federation (share - 63.7%), as well as Ukraine and Latvia (shares - 5.7% and 5.1%, respectively).

In 2018, deliveries to the previously developed markets were resumed: Andorra, Paraguay, French Polynesia, Qatar, Bangladesh, Belize, Madagascar, Dominica, New Caledonia, Malawi, Lesotho, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Guernsey.

There was a considerable increase in exports to Mexico (18.7 times), Algeria (36.6 times), Nigeria (10 times), Portugal (63.6 times), Lebanon  (8.6 times), Myanmar (11.4 times), Argentina (6.2 times), Senegal (8 times), El Salvador (42 times), Colombia (15 times).

In 2018, exports of services in Minsk was 4.8   billion US dollars with a growth rate by 113.0% to the year of 2017. According to the organizations of municipal property and without departmental subordination, the export of services amounted to 3 681.3 million US dollars with a growth rate of 114.6%.

The largest growth in exports of services can be noted for computers ( 1633.0 million US dollars with a growth rate of 129.1%), transport (1310,3 million US dollars with a growth rate of 112.5%) and other business services (348.6%) million US dollars with a growth rate of 118.9%), the cumulative share of which in the export of services of the city reached 89.5%.

Foreign trade in services was carried out with 208 countries of the world, export - to 188 countries. The export of services of the organizations of Minsk had resumed to 15 countries: Mali, Burkina Faso, Suriname, Brunei, Laos, Tokelau, Eritrea, Djibouti, Guinea-Bissau, Aruba, Guyana, Saint Lucia, Bermuda, Botswana, Liberia.
